Yeah, PSD.com has some good pages. Found that chart, I think it's a good way to start, but alas, even people still complain that that is not 'accurate'.

I'd say the chart is wrong and most women would find that "ideal size" to be scary and or painful. If guys would learn to use what they have, to include thier fingers and tongues, this stuff would never even be an issue for them. Guys need to get over the size issue and stop worrying so much about "Am I big enough?". And yes, I'm a guy, I'm average size, and I give my wife multiple orgasms. Learn to use what you've got.

Great point there bettleboy, but alas, there are people in life who live by measuring themselves to some level/quality of anything, whether it be hair cut, fashion, muscularity or penis size. There are those who do prefer numbers because people want definite answers rather than opinions.

It's quite sad to see how people reduce themselves to this, because they basically determine who they want to be by measuring themselves against a chart of numbers. Something so subservient in the grand scheme of things, and yet guys put this as a top priority.

I, too, was once in a position where I was insecure and apprehensive about the facts and figures, but this site and the users have helped me overcome the insecurities and nervousness, and help me to take better control over this matter, rather than have it dictate my life.

i agree with beetlboy be happy with what you have. you can have the bigest penis around. it willnot make you a good lover .its more to do with how you use it. like men women exagerate to dai.

I think a lot of women OVER estimate size (especially younger women). They think its bigger then it is-- or take the mans word about what size it is.

I think the average male size range is actually a bit smaller then what some studies say. It depends a lot on who is taking part in these studies and how many.

Those figures look like total nonsense to me too. I doubt there are really that many women comfortable with 9 inches and more. Their bodies usually aren't like that any more than ours are.

I think Firefly's right that women will likely over-estimate sizes they're familiar with. Maybe it's partly down to them seeing more of the seemingly longer underside than we mere owners are accustomed to, and unconsciously factoring in the part behind the scrotum.

I suspect too that women who haven't experienced a larger size fantasize about it until they encounter the pitfalls if they're not readily accommodating enough.

So as you were, gentlemen. I think you can discount this one, by at least an inch and maybe two!

I think women-- especially when young, do have a certain curiousity about large sizes-- but a lot of women I've known and talked to, do talk about the pitfalls of them when they actually experience them. Pain is a huge factor. Lack of technique from the man is another (all men should learn good foreplay-- and maybe even especially large men, because she needs to be really aroused to be able to handle a large dick).

They conveniently left out sexual preference. They also don't seem to be specific as to whether the length and girth are relative according to the questions asked to the women. Because a women may enjoy a thick\short one vaginally but prefer a long\thin one anally. Not to mention the large number of sadomasochistic women there are in the world. So when asked it skews the results.

I think the implication is that the women asked are heterosexual women.

It's very relevant to your case, Chris. It really got me thinking that when many girls say 8" they mean something nearer 6".

I just read some of the comments too: most seem less than impressed with the accuracy of the figures:

It may not be enjoyable but remember an average baby has a diameter of 9.5 cm in the smallest part of its head (from the back of the neck to the forehead) when it is born, therefore it can be safely assumed that if a woman can give birth to that size of diameter then a circumference of 7.5" could be accommodated with a relaxed and lubricated female vagina.

It has to be noted of course that childbirth is somewhat uncomfortable, described sometimes as extremely F****** painful. It is also know that a vagina is made to stretch by the very nature of its convoluted elastic muscular surface (vaginal rugea) that has very limited nervous supply. The first cm at the entrance of the vagina being richer in nerve supply than deeper inside. My suspicion is this is to allow for stretching in relative comfort, allowing the passage of a baby downwards. If the supply of nerves to the vagina was like the clitoris I don't think many women would have more than one child!
It is little wonder that many women don't have vaginal orgasms, without clitoral stimulation. mmmmmm that brings me back to the G spot ...... where is it?

Ok, a soda can is 8.5 inches/20 cm in circumference. (yes, I went to the neighbors' recycling to measure one)
I have a point on my forearm close to my wrist that my hand is at the not quite touching point that it is on my partner. That measures 6.5 inches of girth. (16.5 cm)

I don't think that's necessarily such a safe assumption for most women - remember there can be a big difference in comfort between things going out or coming in (think of anal), at least in the early days. I'm not saying that 7.5" girth is a problem, mercifully I don't know!
