Does anyone know if the 5.1 is BP or NBP?

If that 5 average is BP then I'm not convinced. Most men have to be larger then that surely.

From measurection.com. The Wessells study showed 5.07 erect and then furhter down 6.20 functional length including fat pad. I interpret that as 5.07" NBPEL.

2. Erect <====================

Chung, et al (1971 Korea)
702 patients aged 23-31
5.0"

Wessells, et al
80 patients aged 21-82 <====================
5.07"

Ng & Tang (1997 Maylasia)
74 patients aged 22-70
4.77"

Park, et al (1998 Korea)
309 patients 20-70
4.68"

Unidus (1999 Korea)
279 patients aged 20-38
4.98"

Lifestyles (2001 US)
300 patients aged 18-23)
5.88" (SPRING BREAK STUDY WHICH TOOK VOLUNTEERS AT A BAR)

Notes:

The Wessels, et al study showed that the shortest erection was 7.5 cm (2.95 in), while the longest erection was 19.0 cm (7.48 in).

The Unidus condom study showed a range of 9.7 cm (3.82 in) to 17.6 cm 6.93 in).

3. Functional Length (Penis length plus fat pad depth) <========

da Ros, et al (1994 Brazil)
150 patients of unkown age
5.71"

Wessells, et al (1996 US)
80 patients aged 21-82)
6.20" <========================

Schneider, et al (2001 Germany)
111 patients aged 18-19
5.70"

Schneider, et al (2001 Germany)
32 patients aged 40-68
5.58"

Notes:

The da Ros, et al study showed 76% of men had a functional length between 12.0 cm (4.72 in) and 16.0 cm (6.30 in). The shortest functional length was 9.0 cm (3.54 in) and the longest was 19.0 cm (7.48 in).

The Wessels, et al study showed that the shortest functional length was 9.0 cm (3.54 in), while the longest functional length was 21.0 cm (8.27 in).

I don't think bone pressed is very accurate personally. Forcing it to the bone and into the fat pad doesn't give an accurate idea of what is actually in use!

Actually, IMHO I think bone pressed is a more accurate measurement. Depending on the fat, a man can press into a woman beyond the surface fat. Of course, if the guy is really fat with a solid gut, then no, he probably won't be able to press all the way into her.

I don't think you're supposed to shove the ruler in as far as humanly possible. I think you press gently until you reach reasonable resistance. The concept being that the fat pad will compress a little at maximum insertion yielding a bit more "functional" length.

I guess if you don't mind the pain you can eke out a bit more and claim legitimacy!

I'm going to disagree with you still. I think its just a way for men to add a little bit of length to their measurement! lol. wink

It gives a more accurate measurement if you're doing PE. You can tell if you're making progress with gains.

Other then that, what should count is what can be inserted.
