Following a sexuality thread over at Aphrodite, I came across this link: http://www.the-penis.com/malesexuality.htmlWhich states: Then, at the moment of ejaculation, your testicles are drawn up close to your body, the urinary tract to your bladder closes so that your semen will spurt out of your penis rather than being passed back into your bladder, and the muscular contractions of your ejaculation take place. These contractions involve the muscles at the base of the penis, the muscles of the penis shaft, the muscles around the anal sphincter, the pubococcygeus muscle, and the muscles of the rectum. They contract about eight times, maybe slightly more or less, at 0.8 second intervals, and as they do so the seminal fluid containing sperm is expelled. For research purposes I decided to count my own contractions. I had two orgasms recently - one small, with two contractions and a dribble of ejaculate. A few minutes later I had a second orgasm, with 12 contractions and a large amount of semen. Counting can be difficult when in the grip of ecstasy. Have you (or the person you're with) ever counted? Did you vary much from this average of eight?

For research purposes I decided to count my own contractions.
Have you (or the person you're with) ever counted? Did you vary much from this average of eight? I never specifically counted them, but I loved to feel them. When I could, I would gently grasp his testicles (which he liked, anyway) so I could feel them move.

its not a deliberate act on my part, i'm guessing old age and t1 diabetes; but it does have the advatage of not being messy...
